Down Checker is a free online tool that allows you to quickly determine if a website is currently accessible (up) or experiencing issues (down). You simply enter a website URL, and our tool quickly checks its availability, providing you information like response times and status codes.

When you submit a URL, our system attempts to connect to that website server from our globally distributed nodes. We then analyze the response we receive (or lack thereof) to determine the website's status. We report back to you with real-time results.

While we strive for high accuracy, the results reflect the website's status at the exact moment of your check. Real-time server conditions, network factors, and geographic restrictions may influence the results.

For each website check, we provide the status (Up/Down), response time in milliseconds, and the HTTP status code returned by the server.

We can check most publicly accessible websites. However, private networks, intranets, or sites that block specific geographical regions may show different results.

This is common and usually indicates a local issue. It could be due to your DNS settings, browser cache, local network problems, or your IP being specifically blocked by the website's firewall.

Try clearing your browser cache, restarting your router, using a different browser/device, or switching your DNS to Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1).

Down Checker performs real-time, on-demand checks. We currently do not offer continuous background monitoring or downtime alerts via email/SMS.

Currently, there are no set limits. We provide this as a free service to everyone and ask that you use it responsibly.
